KPMG's Strategy, Tech CoE (Center of Excellence) team is looking for candidates for a Consultant / Senior Consultant role, with a technology, digital, AI and M&A specialisation.
Your contribution to KPMG- Support technology-focused M&A engagements across the full deal lifecycle, including IT due diligence, integration and separation projects
- Analyse and structure complex technology landscapes, covering applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, costs and technology contracts
- Prepare and contribute to technology (incl. product & platform) due diligence reports, identifying key risks, value drivers and opportunities relevant for valuation and deal decisions
- Translate technology findings into clear business implications, linking tech topics to strategy, operations, synergies and deal value
- Support clients in technology integration and separation planning, including target operating models, IT landscapes, TSA concepts and implementation roadmaps
- Work within cross-functional deal teams, contributing to technology workstreams and identifying potential technology synergies
- Develop a strong understanding of technology benchmarks and best practices to assess what a “fit-for-purpose” technology function looks like in a deal context
- Collaborate closely with senior team members, gaining hands-on exposure to transactions while continuously developing your technology and M&A skill set
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field, with an outstanding academic record
- Minimum 0-3 years of professional experience in Technology strategy, IT in M&A, technology due diligence, or data driven advisory
- Demonstrated project experience related to due diligence, or relevant strategy and technology topics
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills with a high degree of mental flexibility to manage operational, financial, and technology topics in a fast‑paced deal environment
- Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines and with senior stakeholders
- Intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness, paired with the willingness to take (calculated) risks and comfort in “speaking truth to power”
- Fluency in German and English is a must; French or Italian is an advantage
- Willingness and ability to travel
