NPI Product Engineer

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and teamoriented individual for our division Plasma Control Technologies at the Flamatt site as a

NPI Product Engineer 80-100%

We develop and produce innovative high-tech components and systems based on X-ray and radio-frequency technology. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication. 

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What you will do:

• Be a main contributor in the development of new products and ensure smooth handover from R&D to Manufacturing
• Own product quality from design to volume production, drive root cause analysis & continuous improvement
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and ensure product readiness for prototype, pilot, and ramp-up
• Manage product risks using FMEA and translate customer’s requirements into control strategies
• Identify opportunities to improve product and manufacturing robustness through design concepts or quality methods

What you bring: 

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
• Experience in NPI, industrialization, or product engineering in a high-tech or industrial environment
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in FMEA and problem-solving methods (8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa)
• Solid understanding of product lifecycles, manufacturing principles and process control
• Strong communication skills with a cross-functional mindset including good German and very good English skills
