This position reports to:
R&D Team Lead__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, and solutions.
Reporting to the CoE Team Leader, you will supports the R&D Agile Team’s by performing assigned tasks under supervision and execute assigned tasks using technical knowledge in a structured way.
You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge. Main stakeholders are all Critical Power Agile teams.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Functional & Performance Testing by Measuring parameters like efficiency, power factor, switching times, voltage drops, and insulation resistance.
Validate product safety, robustness through accelerated stress testing and failure analysis, executing Highly Accelerated Life Testing
Conducting temperature-rise tests (heat run tests) using thermocouples and thermal cameras to identify hotspots under nominal and overload conditions
Documenting work and contributing to written technical reports
Using technical know-how in your own area of competence to solve problems.
You will become part of a high-performing, collaborative team of experts, dedicated to delivering the highest quality standards in electrotechnical validation
Qualifications for the role
Minimum few years of experience working as Laboratory Specialist with UPS equipment’s or equivalent related experience.
Sound knowledge in Electrical Engineering for power converter platforms as a preference
A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
A university degree in electronic engineering (Bachelor's degree)
Fluent command of Italian and good knowledge of English (German is a plus)
