Laboratory Technician Position in Pharmacology

Lab Description: The Pharmacology Unit of the Faculty of Science and Medicine at the University of Fribourg investigates molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying metabolic and redox signaling in health and disease. The Zuhra Group focuses on the biology of endogenously produced cyanide, exploring its role as a novel gasotransmitter and its impact on cellular metabolism and cell signaling (www.unifr.ch/med/en/research/group/zuhra/).

Anforderungen

• Experienced and motivated laboratory technician to support our research with 3-5 years of proven work experience with basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques (solution preparation, measuring pH, doing Western blots, cell culture, etc).
• Diploma (CFC / BSc or equivalent) in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or a related field (experience in cancer research would be considered a plus)
• Experience with in vivo model (mice, rats). FELASA accreditation category B (EU functions A, C, D) or Swiss equivalent i.e. Module1/LTK1 needed
• Strong sense of organization, precision, and reliability
• Selections will be done in a rolling basis.
• Good written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of French or German is an advantage
