Tasks

Finding the right price for the right customer at the right time. This is our challenge.
During this internship, you will learn about this core Airline function and will help our team to design and implement data-driven innovations to maximize revenue. Specifically, we ask you to:

  • Help improving optimization models and tools for revenue management problems (e.g. demand forecasting, price optimization, competitor intelligence, etc.)
  • Use data analytics, statistics and simulations to assist our team and provide key business insights
  • Benchmarking, research and learn trends and developments in the world of airline RM, with a key focus on Agentic AI and Automation
  • Prepare and hold presentations of complex information to the team and to relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute with your ideas to our innovation projects, collaborating with different teams across multiple LHG locations
  • Support the data science team with data exploration and wrangling, coding, documentation
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic team player, who can work independently and actively support us in our wide range of topics.

  • Master’s students or graduates in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related fields
  • Workload Specification: For this position, a 80-100% workload is preferred
  • Good skills in programming and database querying (e.g. Python, R, SQL)
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience in using machine learning algorithms, statistics and OR
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Interest in emerging technologies, AI, Aviation and Revenue Management
  • Understanding of economic principles, awareness of global trends and news and business acumen
  • A high willingness to learn, openness to new ideas and a high interest in complex multi-disciplinary topics
