Job-Inhalt

The Aircraft Performance and Weight & Balance team of the Flight Ops Policy, Procedures & Engineering department contributes to ensure safe and reliable flight operations of the entire SWISS fleet and across all destinations.

Starting date: September 01, 2026

Tasks

Get insights into a variety of engineering tasks of the Aircraft Performance as well as the Weight & Balance domain. You will be part of the team and contribute to our daily work. In addition to that, you will get the chance to carry out improvement activities.

  • Airport Data Analysis and Database Engineering
  • Obstacle Assessment
  • Performance Calculations for Takeoff and Landing
  • Calculation of operational Weight & Balance data and limitations
  • Research on operational matters and observations
  • Develop and enhance current tools and processes
  • HF diploma, Bachelor’s, Master’s students or graduates in Aviation, Aerospace / Aeronautical engineering or similar (HF diploma & Bachelor’s students must have completed at least three semesters)
  • Independent, reliable and structured way of working within a small team
  • Interest and motivation to familiarize yourself with flight physics and aircraft mechanics
  • Analytical mindset together with programming skills 
  • Very good spoken and written German and English skills
  • Very good MS Office skills
