Mission
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and bilingual Internal Communications Specialist to join the Group Communications team on a temporary 6-month assignment. The role is designed to provide hands-on support to the Internal Communications Manager in the day-to-day delivery of internal communications activities, employee engagement initiatives and editorial content across the organisation.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and organised communications professional with good writing skills in English and French, sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Main responsibilities
- Support the Internal Communications Manager in the development and execution of the internal communications plan and related initiatives.
- Draft, edit, proofread and publish internal news, announcements, and campaigns in English and French.
- Prepare, coordinate and send the daily internal newsletter, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timely publication.
- Act as a back-up for the preparation and distribution of internal communications when required.
- Maintain and update the intranet, including editorial content, employee resources, calendar of events and other relevant pages.
- Draft internal surveys, support the analysis of results and help identify insights to improve employee engagement and communication effectiveness.
- Contribute to the internal magazine, including content planning, article drafting, coordination with contributors and follow-up with the graphic design team for visual content creation.
- Support the preparation of communication materials for internal events, townhalls, campaigns and employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor internal communication channels and help ensure messages are clear, consistent, timely and aligned with the organisation’s tone of voice.
Your Profile
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications or a related communications role, ideally within the financial industry.
- Degree in Communications, Business Communication, Marketing, Journalism or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French, with the ability to write clear, concise and compelling messages for different internal audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in communication and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Outlook and Office applications, intranet/content management tools, survey tools such as SurveyMonkey, and project management tools such as Monday.com.
- Good understanding of the financial industry and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to collect and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
- Proactive, collaborative and service-oriented approach, with the ability to work closely with different teams and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with employees at all levels of the organisation.
