Job-Inhalt
Your tasks
- Develop new radiochemical methods and instrumentation for studies of superheavy elements
- Produce radioisotopes of the lighter homologs of superheavy elements using PSI's large-scale research infrastructure to test and optimize your ideas
- Perform innovative chemical experiments on superheavy elements at leading accelerator facilities worldwide as part of international collaborations
- Analyze and interpret experimental data to determine thermochemical properties of the heaviest elements
- Present your research at international conferences and publish your results in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals
Your profile
- Master's degree in Chemistry (preferably Physical Chemistry), applicants with a Master's degree in Physics are also encouraged to apply
- Highly motivated, curious, and eager to learn
- Strong interest in experimental research and the development of new methods and instrumentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player with good written and spoken English skills
- Prior knowledge of radiochemistry is an advantage but not required
