Authorised Person Electrical Safety (m/f/d)

Tasks:

• Ensure compliance with all internal electrical safety procedures, including hazardous energy control and LV/MV operating standards.
• Enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) processes and safe working practices.
• Apply site-specific Electrical Safe Systems of Work (ESSOW).
• Review and approve subcontractor safety documentation (e.g. RAMS, hazardous energy procedures).
• Maintain operational control of LOTO systems and manage safe energisation/isolation during commissioning.
• Ensure all works are aligned with client safety requirements and that appropriate signage and area controls are in place.
• Identify electrical hazards, implement mitigation measures, and ensure proper use of PPE and area segregation.
• Report electrical incidents through appropriate internal channels and maintain secure permit-controlled areas.
• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, including temporary installations.
• Authorise energisation and isolation activities within defined limits and follow direction from senior authorised personnel.

Qualifications:

• Be a qualified electrician awarded the National Craft Certificate as part of the national Framework of Qualifications or equivalent in the jurisdiction
• Demonstrated history of delivering HV/MV Infrastructure projects, DC / DNO / IDNO / Power Generation
• Experience managing work and safety precautions across control boundaries.
• Experience performing / supervising advance cable works including phasing, testing, identifying & spiking
