Business & Technical Consultant - Transactional Functions

Job Description

The Transactional Function domain, responsible for delivering tailored solutions in the areas of Securities Operations, Payments, Treasury, Credits, and Cost & Fees, is seeking a Business & Technical Consultant to support requirements analysis, solution design, and Avaloq Core Platform parameterization for our customers worldwide. In this role, you will collaborate closely with clients, product experts, and delivery teams to translate business needs into effective Avaloq-based solutions, ensuring high-quality implementation and customer satisfaction.

The team is responsible for all aspects related to these areas within the Avaloq Core Platform and the implementation baselines for our SaaS centres.

This role offers the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of exciting and challenging projects, contributing to cutting-edge global banking initiatives. The team works in an agile environment, closely collaborating with customers and partners to support a global client base, and to deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving market demands.

Your key tasks

• Design innovative solutions for new developments in collaboration with our technical leads and architects.
• Implement cutting-edge business functionality, aligning with the appropriate software layers and enhancing reliability through automated testing.
• Take full ownership of your modules, working closely with your team to maintain and optimize functionality.
• Foster collaboration with colleagues both within the team and across departments, building strong partnerships for success.

Qualifications

• Analyse business requirements and processes
• University degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent
• Strong evidencable proven track record of using analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
• Strong computer programming skills
• Strong database management system knowledge
• Strong client orientation with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated, proactive and structured you will have the ability to excel in dynamic environments.

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Deep knowledge of coding in PL/SQL
• Experience with Avaloq or other similar banking systems
• Understanding of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL).
• Experience with agile methodologies
• Italian, German and French languages
