Technical Leader IT – Infrastructure & Platform Delivery

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Leader IT with a strong background in infrastructure and platform services (IaaS/PaaS), combined with excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

This role acts as a key bridge between engineering teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that complex technical topics are clearly understood and that delivery is aligned with business objectives.

Your key tasks

• Lead the technical delivery of infrastructure and cloud platform solutions, ensuring quality, consistency, and scalability
• Act as a bridge between technology and business, translating complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and business stakeholders to align priorities, constraints, and solutions
• Provide strong technical leadership to cross-functional teams (internal and external), fostering ownership and accountability
• Facilitate technical decision-making, including trade-off analysis and architectural direction
• Promote a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset, effectively managing dependencies and conflicts
• Support technical planning, risk identification, and mitigation strategies
• Drive best practices across cloud, automation, security, and resilience domains
• Develop and communicate the technical roadmap for infrastructure and platform services, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business goals
• Mentor and develop technical team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the infrastructure domain
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, cost efficiency, and resource utilization across OCI environments
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners to ensure service quality and contractual compliance
• Establish and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, knowledge repositories, and runbooks to support operational excellence
• Oversee compliance with IT governance frameworks, security policies, and regulatory requirements in infrastructure delivery
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and architectural patterns

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud platform services, or related technical roles
• Proven expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or equivalent cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Strong background in designing, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure solutions
• Demonstrated experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and automation frameworks
• Track record of leading technical teams and driving infrastructure delivery initiatives
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and best practices
• Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance principles
• Strong and collaborative technical leadership
• Clear and effective communication, with the ability to simplify complexity
• Ability to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholders
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
• Proactive approach, accountability, and results orientation
• Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into technical solutions

It would be a real bonus if you have

• OCI certifications (e.g., Architect Associate/Professional)
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization (e.g., OKE or similar platforms)
• Background in enterprise databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with IT governance and delivery frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in cloud cost optimization and resource management
• Background with monitoring, observability, and performance management tools
• Knowledge of Italian, German, or French

PMI certification is not required; what matters is a well-rounded technological vision, strong leadership, and the ability to drive infrastructure delivery in OCI-centric environments.
