Mechanical Team Lead 80-100%

In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.

What you will do:  

• Lead, coach and develop a team of mechanical engineers responsible for RF power products used in the semiconductor plasma processing  

• Drive the mechanical architecture and design of innovative, high quality products, ensuring performance, manufacturability, reliability and compliance 

• Coordinate mechanical development activities across projects, ensuring milestones, deliverables, risk assessments and FMEAs are completed on time and to a high standard 

• Lead technical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Electrical, RF, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Management 

• Continuously improve engineering processes, design methodologies, testing, and team capabilities while contributing to innovation and technology roadmaps 

What you bring:   

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline 

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development, including several years in a technical leadership role within a high-tech environment  

• Strong expertise in thermal management, structural analysis, vibration, reliability engineering and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) 

• Proficiency in 3D CAD and PLM systems; experience with semiconductor equipment, RF systems, vacuum technology or high-voltage equipment is an advantage 

• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, combined with a hands-on, collaborative mindset and excellent problem-solving abilities; fluent in English, German is an advantage
