Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) is a Global Business Area of METTLER TOLEDO. We are the worldwide market leader in laboratory weighing solutions. Our employees develop, manufacture, and market highly precise instruments that enable our customers to achieve maximum benefit in their demanding application areas. To strengthen our team within the R&D organization, we are looking for a motivated individual as Test & Measurement Engineer 100% (all genders) for our global operational headquarters in Greifensee, Canton Zurich. In this role, you will be responsible for:- Taking technical ownership of the measurement performance of all LabTec products.
- Reviewing, refining, and further developing product and design requirements.
- Measuring, analyzing, and optimizing measurement and weighing performance.
- Further developing and sustainably ensuring the measurement infrastructure, particularly for automated measurements.
- Leading and contributing to cross-functional feasibility studies and innovation projects.
- Designing, executing, and automating tests for the verification of product and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as the primary contact person for measurement-related topics from the field, customers, and internal production.
- Analyzing quality issues, deriving improvement measures, and contributing to the further development of our products.
- Establishing collaborations with universities and research institutes.
What You Need to Succeed
The following qualifications are required for this position:- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher).
- Ideally, initial to several years of professional experience in the development environment of an industrial high-tech company.
- Solid knowledge of physical measurement and control technology as well as product verification.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g., Python, C++, or comparable) and analysis and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Maple, or Mathematica.
- FEM/FEA knowledge is desirable.
- Experience with electrical circuit simulation software is an advantage.
- Experience with ALM and ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in German and English; German is mandatory, English is our project language.
