Senior DevOps Platform Engineer (80-100%)

Our IT Engineering Team, a pioneering competence centre that unites senior professionals from different backgrounds, is currently searching for you as DevOps Platform Engineer to support the exceptional growth of TWINT. Together, we guide the development and continuous improvement of a high-performance, scalable, and secure payment system. The role is based in Zurich or Bern with the option of Home Office.

Your impact at TWINT:

• Together with our partners, developing and operating the required Core Infrastructure for all TWINT applications.

• Core Infrastructure includes Compute nodes, Network, Kubernetes, Proxies, IAM and many more.

• Ensuring the security and resilience of TWINT's platform by managing secrets, PKIs, and access controls end-to-end, and by embedding DevSecOps best practices into our infrastructure and development processes.

• Take responsibility for the interaction of the overall system of our technically versatile product: A complex system of multiple backends, mobile apps, websites and connections to financial institutions and retailers.

• Developing, optimising, and and operating build pipelines, configurations and tools.

• Optimising the collaboration between development and operations to enhance the efficiency and quality of our software.

• Support and coaching of the team in the area of DevSecOps.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science with a focus on software engineering or a comparable education.

• Minimum of 5 years of practical and project experience in software engineering in a business and technically complex environment.

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including designing, deploying, and operating production-grade clusters to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available containerized workloads.

• Solid knowledge of HashiCorp Vault for managing secrets and PKIs to enforce secure access across services and environments.

• Experience with Customer IAM tools (like Keycloak, Nevis), implementing secure and seamless authentication and authorization for customer-facing applications.

• Practical experience with Azure (or a comparable cloud provider), including Infrastructure-as-Code practices for reliable, cost-efficient, and secure cloud operations.

• Solid knowledge of Linux, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions and ArgoCD).

• Independent, structured and reliable way of working.

• Very good English language skills; German language skills are beneficial.
