Group M&A - Business Strategist

Your role

Are you a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for driving complex M&A transactions? Do you combine rigorous financial analysis with the ability to deliver clear insights to senior stakeholders?We’re looking for an Associate Director to:• support and selectively lead strategic M&A initiatives across UBS Group• identify, evaluate and execute M&A transactions and related strategic projects end-to-end• conduct detailed market research, financial analysis and valuation work to assess potential targets and strategic options• develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making• synthesize quantitative and qualitative analyses into clear, concise recommendations for senior management• prepare high-quality presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders• collaborate closely with business divisions, group functions and external advisors

Your team

You’ll be part of the Group M&A team, which is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing inorganic opportunities across UBS. The team manages transactions end-to-end and advises senior leadership on strategic M&A priorities.We work closely with the Group Executive Board, business divisions, control functions and external partners, playing a key role in shaping UBS’s strategic direction.

Your expertise

• strong academic background with a university degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field• solid experience in investment banking (preferably within Financial Institutions Group), corporate finance, or a comparable role• proven expertise in valuation, financial modelling and transaction execution• outstanding analytical skills with the ability to structure complex problems and identify key value drivers• strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and concisely• advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel• team-oriented, proactive and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment• high level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail• fluent in English; German is a plus*LI-UBS
