Job-Inhalt
Minimum qualifications:
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Law from a Swiss University.
- Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Academic curriculum including data protection, intellectual property, copyright, technology, or media law.
- Experience working on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a law firm or in a media/technology company.
- Experience, know-how or keen curiosity around discovering, developing and applying AI tools in practice.
- Available to start in between Sept and Oct 2026 for a 12 month fixed-term contract.

As a Legal Trainee and part of the Google Regional Legal team, you will play an important role in helping us address the legal challenges at the forefront of the information age. You will get insights into a variety of legal work across Google and YouTube, learning to expect the unexpected while promoting the development of internet law in an unconventional environment.
In this role, you will be an integral part of the Swiss and Austrian legal team and will have the opportunity to deep dive into specific subject matters around technology law. You will have a chance to enhance your organizational and communication skills, while developing your advocacy and legal judgment. Our legal trainees learn, grow and grow in a fast-paced internationally connected environment organized across multiple jurisdictions and teams.Responsibilities
- Respond to various legal requests from users and third-parties in relation to Google services and resolve internal and external escalations.
- Assist the Legal team in the preparation, management of court submissions, and in subsequent analysis.
- Assist in a variety of projects, such as the localization of new Google Products, marketing assessments, and the review and drafting of agreements.
- Conduct research on a variety of legal topics and new regulations in the field of privacy, copyright, consumer law, media regulations, advertising, competition law, etc.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge databases for the Legal team. Be an expert in Google AI tools and use them to help manage team tasks.
