Job-Inhalt
As Senior Strategy Manager with focus on Financial Information Strategy, you'll own the Business Unit’s strategic direction, defining where it competes and wins, leading both organic and inorganic (M&A) initiatives, and acting as the strategic sparring partner to the Head Financial Information business unit and their leadership team. This is a role for someone who brings either the strategist's craft or deep domain knowledge of the data and information business and ideally a bit of both.
What You Will Do
- Own and evolve the strategy of the Financial Information business unit – defining how and where it competes across data, indices, and analytics, and what to build, buy, or partner for next
- Connect the Financial Information strategy across SIX – identifying opportunities with other business units and ensuring the Financial Information agenda aligns the broader SIX Group strategy
- Lead inorganic growth – source, evaluate, and help execute M&A, partnerships, and investments that strengthen the data and information portfolio
- Drive the organic strategic agenda – new products, markets, and capabilities
- Act as strategic sparring partner to the Head Financial Information business unit on the decisions that shape the business
- Turn market shifts into a clear point of view – competitive and vendor dynamics, client needs, and the numbers – and into recommendations leaders can act on
- Build and present the material that drives decisions for senior management
What You Bring
- A track record (typically 5+ years) in one of two profiles (or combined):
- Strategy or finance: management consulting, corporate strategy, or corporate finance / investment banking, ideally with exposure to financial markets or information services; or
- Industry: the financial data and information business – a data vendor or marketinfrastructure provider (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG, S&P Global, Morningstar, FactSet) – in strategy, product, or commercial roles
- A real feel for the financial-information and data-vendor landscape – the products, the competitors, and where the market is heading – or the curiosity and speed to get there fast
- Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives end to end, including shaping the strategic rationale and direction of M&A and major investments
- Sharp analytical and conceptual thinking – you can frame an ambiguous problem and build the case for a decision
- Equally comfortable with the numbers and the narrative – you can build or pressuretest a business case and land it in a board-ready presentation
- A bachelor's or master's in business, economics, finance, industrial engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus
- Fluent English is essential. German and/or Spanish is a plus
