Job-Inhalt

The Head of Business Development & Strategy shapes and delivers the growth agenda of SIX Securities Services. The role drives transversal strategic initiatives, new business creation, partnerships, and M&A opportunities, ensuring that BSS is positioned as a leading European post‑trade infrastructure provider.

Operating across all product verticals, it translates strategy into execution, unlocks new revenue opportunities, and supports senior leadership in steering the long‑term development of the business unit.

What You Will Do
  • Drive strategic execution: Translate BSS strategy into clear roadmaps, ensuring disciplined delivery, risk management, and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and deliver growth opportunities: Expand revenue streams across clearing, custody, securities finance, and value‑added services, including new markets and client segments.
  • Lead partnerships and M&A initiatives: Develop strategic partnerships and manage inorganic growth opportunities from evaluation to integration.
  • Advise senior leadership: Provide strategic insights, business cases, and performance monitoring to support decision‑making at Executive level.
  • Ensure cross‑functional alignment: Foster collaboration across business units and strengthen SIX’s positioning with clients and within the capital markets ecosystem.
What You Bring
  • Extensive strategy and leadership experience: Proven track record in corporate strategy, consulting, or business development within financial market infrastructures or capital markets.
  • Strong execution focus: Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into actionable priorities and deliver large-scale initiatives with measurable impact.
  • Deep industry expertise: Solid understanding of post‑trade services, market infrastructure dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in partnerships and M&A: Hands-on exposure to strategic partnerships and inorganic growth, including business case development and integration planning.
  • Influence and communication skills: Ability to engage and advise senior stakeholders with credibility; fluent in English (German is a strong advantage).
