Job Description
As a Legal Secretary, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and organizing legal documents and files.
- Preparing, proofreading, and formatting legal documents.
- Coordinating communications between the various parties involved in legal proceedings.
- Organizing meetings, hearings, and travel arrangements for team members.
- Maintaining and updating legal databases and archives.
- Ensuring clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring compliance with deadlines and established procedures.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of administrative and legal processes.
The Successful Applicant
As a Legal Secretary, you will have the following qualifications and skills:
- A diploma in secretarial studies, administration, or an equivalent qualification.
- Excellent command of English (C2 level or ideally native proficiency); French is an asset.
- Previous experience in a legal or administrative environment is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
