Software Engineer - Data Platforms & Analytics

Job Description

As a member of the Data Platforms & Analytics team, you will contribute to the development and evolution of our Data Platform solutions supporting reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision making across the organization.

The role is strongly focused on Avaloq data ecosystems, combining PL/SQL, ODI (Oracle Data Integrator), Snowflake and ACP(Avaloq Core Platform) knowledge to deliver high-quality, scalable, and governed data solutions.

Your key tasks

• Contribute to the integration of Avaloq Core Platform (ACP) data (e.g., transactional, reference, and business data) into our Data Platform solutions
• Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), including mappings, packages, and scenario lifecycle management
• Design and support Snowflake data platform workloads, including data loading, transformation logic, and optimization of storage and compute usage
• Deploy, manage, and monitor data platform components running on Kubernetes (K8s) environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Proven experience in data engineering / data platform development including ETL/ELT patterns and data integration architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL in enterprise environments
• Experience with large-scale databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySql, Microsoft SQL Server)
• Effective communication skills in English (written and spoken)

It would be a real bonus if you have 

• Experience with Avaloq Core Platform (ACP) and Avaloq data structures, ACCP certification (Avaloq Certified Customization Professional – ABR/S) is strongly preferred
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Snowflake cloud data platform for analytics and data warehousing
• Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for deploying and managing containerized applications
