Job-Inhalt

To strengthen our data protection and governance capabilities, we are looking for a Data Protection Manager to support the operational implementation and continuous improvement of data protection practices across assigned legal entities and business functions.

In this role, you act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, IT specialists and legal experts across an international environment. You translate data protection requirements into practical solutions and contribute to building a sustainable privacy culture throughout the organization.

Challenges

  • Drive the implementation and continuous enhancement of data protection practices across assigned legal entities and business functions

  • Partner with business teams, IT and project stakeholders to embed Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles into processes and projects

  • Coordinate key privacy processes, including Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), data subject requests and personal data breach assessments

  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Procurement, IT and business stakeholders on data processing agreements, international data transfers and privacy-related contractual matters

  • Develop practical policies, templates, guidelines and standards that support compliance and business efficiency

  • Contribute to privacy reporting, audits, maturity assessments and selected data governance initiatives that promote responsible data use

Qualifications

  • University degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, Compliance, Risk Management or a related discipline

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in data protection, privacy compliance, compliance management or data governance

  • Fluent German and English skills

  • Strong practical knowledge of GDPR and Swiss nDSG; knowledge of UK GDPR is an advantage.

  • Experience with RoPA, DPIAs, data subject requests, privacy notices, retention concepts and third-party assessments

  • Data protection certification such as IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM or equivalent

  • Good understanding of IT systems, data flows and security concepts; experience with M365, SAP, DPMS or compliance tooling is an advantage.

  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic business solutions

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
