Job-Inhalt
The Automation OT Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the Operational Technology (OT) environment within a GMP-regulated manufacturing site. This role ensures the reliability, security, and lifecycle management of automation-related IT/OT systems, including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and interfaces supporting PCS, SCADA, MES, and industrial equipment. The engineer collaborates closely with Automation, IT, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Validation teams to deliver compliant, robust, and future-proof OT solutions.

Tasks:
- Support and improve OT infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers, VMware, industrial networks, cybersecurity).
- Lead or contribute to OT projects, upgrades, and system lifecycle activities.
- Review and develop technical documentation (URS, FS, DS, validation documents).
- Manage patching, updates, backups, and system hardening.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for SCADA, HMI, communication protocols, and automation tools.
- Collaborate with IT, Automation, Engineering, QA, Validation, and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and site validation standards.
- Support audits and change control processes.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Industrial IT, Automation, or OT Engineering.
- 3–5+ years in pharma/chemical/food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, validation, and change management.
- Experience with VMware, Windows/Linux, industrial networks, databases, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI systems and automation communication protocols.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Rigorous, methodical, and detail-oriented.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
