Software Engineer III, Shopping Storage Core

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
• 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale data storage and processing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in C++.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the operation of these systems at scale, including diagnosing, debugging, and resolving complex issues in a distributed environment.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our system's reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency through thoughtful design, implementation, and testing.
• Enhance our engineering practices by refining binary release processes, improving monitoring, and increasing automation.
• Collaborate with team members and client teams to understand requirements and contribute to technical designs.
• Design, develop, and maintain core components of our large-scale data storage and processing infrastructure, ensuring it can handle rapid growth in data volume and a widening array of uses.
