Internship in Banking Operations - Securities Transfer Team (12-months fixed term contract)

Job Description

You will be part of a global team in three different locations (Germany, Switzerland, and Singapore), which is responsible for the transfers of securities (portfolio transfers and realignments), as well as the management of registered shares. Daily operational activities covering Equities, Bonds, Structure Notes, Mutual and Hedge Fund. 

Your key tasks 

• Processing of incoming and outgoing securities transfers in Avaloq Banking Suite
• Processing of realignments between various custodians and markets
• Control actions/coordination with clients, trade departments and custodians
• Cash and security reconciliation
• Ensuring that all transactions are processed correctly and settled in a timely manner
• Compliance with Services Level Agreements (SLA), KRI/KPI and keeping oneself abreast of market/regulatory changes

Qualifications

• Securities Transfer or Settlement experience is a plus, as well as Technology and Solutions skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Avaloq Banking Suite, Clearstream Vestima, SWIFT, Bloomberg)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handles well during a stressful environment
• A service-orientated team player and has a strong motivation to be part of a dynamic team
• An independent and proactive worker with good communication skills
• Fluency in English and German
