Development Engineer Precision Delivery

We at VAT Group AG, headquartered in Haag - Switzerland, invite a both talented and passionate Development Engineer to join our  Advanced Products Business Unit.

VAT’s Business Unit Advanced Products is the home base for newly developed products in VAT’s adjacent market areas. The latest innovation in pulsing valves for ALD is currently being ramped up at our customers. ALD is becoming one of the most important process steps in the manufacture of advanced electronic components. VAT aims to become one of the major subsystem and component suppliers to the ALD tool industry.

This is a full-time, permanent position - however has the possibility of flexible working hours or days to accommodate special or personal situations, reflecting our supportive and adaptable work environment.

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Product development and product responsibility in close cooperation with product and project managers, sales subsidiaries and customers
• Active participation in product development, product industrialization and relocation projects
• Support the development of a completely new, semi-automated manufacturing line for high volume products
• Support product tests in our test lab (hands-on activities)
• Creation and maintenance of manufacturing drawings, parts lists as well as technical documentation
• Design reviews and optimization with manufacturing, supplier quality engineers and project buyers
• Technical support in case of quality problems

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Technical education or apprenticeship, ideally with an additional bachelor’s or master’s degree
• Passion in developing concepts, prototyping and industrialization of mechanical or mechatronic products
• Exceptional quality mindset with a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards in all aspects of engineering and production
• Demonstrates a high sense of responsibility to ensure that quality is consistenly achieved, especially when producing high volumes of products ( >10,000 products/year )
• 5+ years of professional experience preferred
• Hands on, systematic and independent working style
• Ability to work in highly agile project teams
• Good CAD knowledge, advantageously Siemens NX
• Fluent in English, German preferred
