The Position
Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world.
Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within?
As an intern, you will contribute to a project focused on improving fair access to innovative medicines in Switzerland by exploring digital solutions that help patients and healthcare professionals navigate financial barriers. The project aims to increase transparency around out-of-pocket burden, evaluate legally feasible support models, and identify ways to improve access for underrepresented groups in a high-price healthcare market. Within your first 3 months, you are expected to support a stakeholder analysis, map the patient journey, help design an interactive mock-up for a Navigator App, and contribute to a whitepaper outlining how Roche can strengthen equitable health outcomes in Switzerland. Your work will help place patient needs more clearly at the center of access strategy while supporting a more informed and sustainable healthcare system. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a highly relevant access challenge with direct societal impact.
The Opportunity
Conduct a stakeholder analysis covering patient associations, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health, insurers, and other relevant actors involved in access and equity discussions
Map the patient journey in the Swiss healthcare system with a focus on financial barriers in a high-price market
Develop a concept for a digital Equity Path calculator that helps patients and doctors better understand cost burden and support options
Research socio-economic data in Switzerland to identify underrepresented groups and explore inclusion opportunities
Evaluate patient support models, including Patient Assistance Programs, within the relevant legal and regulatory framework
Design an interactive mock-up for a Navigator App that supports access navigation for patients and healthcare professionals
Draft a whitepaper for management on how Roche can advance its Equitable Health Outcomes ambition in Switzerland
Collaborate across functions to connect patient needs, market access considerations, and digital solution ideas
Who You Are
You are enrolled or have completed your Master’s or MBA studies at a university, preferably in the field of Health Economics, Public Health, Digital Health, Social Sciences, or Business Administration within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months.
Furthermore you are
Knowledgeable in market access topics, health economic thinking, and strategic research
Interested in patient-centered digital solutions and familiar with basic UX or UI concepts for mock-up development
Able to work with complex systems and translate findings into clear and practical recommendations
Empathetic, structured, collaborative, and comfortable working independently
Fluent in German and English
If you meet most but not all qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.
Additional information
The internship is expected to start between 1 and 16 July 2026 and will last at least 3 months.
