About Our Client


Our client is a leading industrial player operating complex engineering and energy‑related projects. They promote a collaborative culture focused on operational excellence and innovation.

Job Description

  • Lead all planning functions for the project to ensure timely execution.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including detailed design teams, procurement partners, construction subcontractors, turnaround, and commissioning teams.
  • Secure and consolidate project schedule inputs and communicate planning requirements to relevant project resources.
  • Provide early warnings and insights to the Project Manager regarding risks, opportunities, and schedule deviations.
  • Challenge stakeholders on high‑risk or critical path items to maintain realistic and timely deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major equipment suppliers and construction subcontractors to optimize planning and scheduling performance.
  • Manage planning‑related claims on behalf of the project.
  • Oversee the issuance and consolidation of supplier/subcontractor schedule feedback and ensure updates to internal databases.
  • Report planning progress to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and structured communication.
  • Establish interfaces and foster alignment with key project stakeholders.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethics and professional conduct in all planning activities.
  • Monitor, report, and present project performance indicators and scheduling metrics to leadership and the client.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in planning management within the energy, oil & gas, renewable, or similar industries.
  • Strong procurement exposure on major projects (>USD 20M).
  • Proficient in MS Project and Primavera P6.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in international contracting and negotiation.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with project controls; cost control experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and professional ethics.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Assertive yet collaborative, with strong interpersonal and intercultural competencies.
  • Capable of working independently while providing clear reporting to management.
  • A team player with flexibility and resilience in a changing environment.
