Role Overview

Join our Artificial Intelligence team to to productionize AI-powered features for our platform. You will develop and operate scalable back-end services used by thousands of global customers. 

You will not be training or researching models yourself. Instead, you will work closely with AI researchers to transform experimental models into reliable, secure, and observable production systems.This role bridges the gap between clean Python coding and modern cloud deployment. You will ensure our suite remains scalable, production-ready, and highly efficient. Work with expert colleagues to build the best localization platform available.

You will own services end-to-end. From implementation and deployment to monitoring and operational excellence.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Implement back-end services used by thousands of customers.
• Deliver scalable, production-ready code and maintain a clean, high-quality codebase.
• Collaborate with AI research, product and platform teams to productionize ML models by designing scalable inference services, integrating them into APIs, and ensuring reliability under real-world load.
• Deploy and manage code within cloud environments and own the lifecycle of services.
• Write well-tested, performant code and design services for operational excellence.

What you need:

• Strong knowledge of Python and proven experience in back-end development.
• 3+ years of production engineering experience (SRE/DevOps/Platform or back-end) with hands-on Kubernetes experience.
• Solid, practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform and Ansible (or close equivalents).
• Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, complexity.
• Ability to write clean, testable and maintainable code; focus on performance and observability.
• Experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS preferred) and core cloud services (object storage, compute, networking).
• Good communicator: you’ll need to work across research, engineering and product teams.

Preferred:

• Practical experience running ML/AI infrastructure (model serving, latency-sensitive APIs).
• Familiarity with workflow/orchestration tools or serverless patterns used for ML workloads.
• Experience with observability stacks (Datadog / Prometheus / Grafana), centralized logging and tracing.
• Familiarity with message systems and big-data components (Kafka, Spark, message queues, NoSQL/databases).
• Experience with autoscaling tooling and cluster node provisioning (e.g., Karpenter or equivalents) and event-driven scaling (Knative or equivalents).

• Data & messaging: Apache Spark, RabbitMQ.
• Workflow / orchestration: Flyte & Weights and Biases.
