The Bank’s entire operations are managed by COO Division and are headed up by the Chief Operating Officer. It strives to provide both in-house and external clients with a first-rate service to ensure our business operates efficiently and at the best possible cost. The COO division comprises Operations, Finance, Information Management, Human Resources and Logistics. COO employees are committed to providing, with professionalism and enthusiasm, an efficient, proactive, high-quality service that meets the needs of clients within the context of the Bank’s overall strategy.
- Mission
Permanent contract and training programme of 12 months, based on a rotation through various departments of the COO team
The purpose is to acquire targeted professional skills as well as practical experience
You will learn to manage projects, build stakeholder relationships, and conduct change management
You will be supported by a mentor, and a “buddy” during the entire programme
This programme is dedicated to young graduates, with a Master’s degree and a maximum of 12 months’ global professional experience, seeking to discover the Banking industry
It includes the prospect of obtaining a permanent role within UBP Operations Team
- Main responsibilities
1. Operations – Monitoring and Reconciliations
Understand the role of the Operations department, and the roles of the different teams within Operations
Understand Operations processes and propose process improvements where applicable
Participate in coordination tasks of transversal topics / projects within Operations department
Help to realise reportings and collect inputs from other teams on regular reportings
Understand and support Reconciliation’s activity and investigations
2. Banking Operations
Join an Operations team
Understand the role of the Operations department, and the roles of the different teams within Operations
Understand Operations processes and propose process improvements where applicable
Support the processes of the teams in line with internal procedures and policies
Support the cash services and securities services by discovering transfers, treasury operations, stock exchange and settlement activities.
3. Risk management department
Join the risk management team
Understand the different roles within the risk team
Understand Operational risk going through incident management, RCSA…
Support risk processes
- Your Profile
Master’s degree in finance or Information Technology obtained recently at a highly recognised university
Maximum 12 months’ professional experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to partner with other teams
Fluent in French and English; any other language would be a plus
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel, programming skills is a plus
Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
