Gouvernate / Housekeeper Wanted – Geneva

I am looking for a reliable and experienced gouvernante to take charge of the overall management of my apartment in Geneva, starting as soon as possible. The role goes beyond standard cleaning and includes full household support. Responsibilities will include: Thorough cleaning and maintenance of the apartment (surfaces, floors, bathrooms, WC, windows) Laundry care (washing, ironing, and garment care) Organising and maintaining wardrobes and storage spaces Grocery shopping Preparing simple, healthy meals Additionally, the candidate may occasionally be asked to assist with organising social or professional gatherings at the apartment. This includes welcoming guests, ensuring the smooth organisation of the event, preparing and serving suitable canapés or small dishes (cocktail-style service), and managing and serving drinks during the event. I am looking for someone autonomous, detail-oriented, and trustworthy, who can ensure that the apartment is always perfectly maintained and organised. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in private households, a good level of education, and solid knowledge of household standards, including proper table service. This is a regular position, requiring availability at least 3 times per week (schedule and working hours to be discussed). The hourly rate is negotiable. There are no children in the household, only adults with demanding professional schedules. We are Portuguese and also speak French, English, and Spanish. We have a slight preference for candidates from Portugal, Spain, Italy, Brazil, or Latin America, as we may share similar habits and culinary culture, and communication can be easier. Nevertheless, we remain fully open to candidates of all backgrounds, provided they can communicate in one of these languages. Ultimately, the quality of work is the most important criterion.
