Team Lead Chartering (m/f/d)

For our site in Chiasso, we are looking for an experienced Team Lead Chartering (m/f/d) to manage and further develop our road freight (FTL/LTL/ groupage) operations. This role combines operational responsibility, carrier management and team leadership in an international logistics environment.
Key responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for road freight forwarding operations (FTL /LTL/ groupage), ensuring smooth and compliant daily execution
• Selection, negotiation and performance management of transport service providers, including tenders and reviews
• Monitoring operational performance through KPIs and initiating improvement measures where required
• Handling key and complex transport files and acting as escalation point
• Supporting sales in the development of customer-specific logistics solutions
• Leading, motivating and developing the forwarding team (three employees) with a hands-on leadership approach
• Ensuring quality standards as well as health and safety compliance within the department
  

Your profile:

• Several years of experience in road freight forwarding or chartering, ideally in FTL/LTL / groupage environments
• Sound knowledge of the Swiss and Italian road freight market, pricing structures and carrier management and a corresponding network
• Experience in managing operational performance using KPIs and reports
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop teams
• Strong decision-making skills and a customer-oriented, pragmatic mindset
• Fluent Italian and good working proficiency in English
• German and/or French language skills are considered an advantage
