About Our Client

On behalf of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial organisation based in Geneva, we are supporting the search for an experienced Financial Systems Accountant to join on a short-term contract basis.
The business operates in a dynamic and evolving environment and requires a hands-on, detail-oriented finance professional with strong financial systems expertise. The role sits within a lean finance function and will suit someone comfortable working close to the data, processes, and stakeholders.

Job Description

Key Focus of the Role
This position has a clear financial systems orientation, with a strong emphasis on data quality, governance, and operational support.
Core responsibilities include:

• Financial systems & master data governance

• Ownership and maintenance of finance master data within SAP
• Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal processes
• Ongoing monitoring and improvement of data governance processes

• Financial Systems Project Support

• Support project management activities for current Financial System initiatives
• Ensure plans communicated; and schedule and cost of projects derisked

• Accounting support

• Assistance with routine accounting activities and close process
• Support to the wider finance team during the maternity cover period

• Systems and process support

• Acting as a hands-on point of contact for finance systems-related topics
• Develop relationship, and with closely with, technical service provider
• Identifying data or process issues and constructively challenging where appropriate

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a sharp, analytical finance professional with a strong systems mindset and the confidence to challenge and influence in a constructive manner.
Key requirements include:

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in finance systems / accounting roles
• Demonstrable hands-on experience with SAP (essential)
• Strong numerical and analytical capability
• Proven experience working with master data governance and data maintenance
• Inquisitive, detail-focused, and outcome-driven mindset
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Hard-working, hands-on, and able to operate with limited supervision
• Immediately available or on very short notice

• Sharp intellect with a questioning mindset
• Confident challenging data, processes, and assumptions
• Practical, delivery-focused approach
• High level of professionalism and discretion

What's on Offer

Working pattern: Office-based, 4-5 days per week
Contract: Short-term contract (approx. 6 months)
