(Mechanical) Engineering Specialist

About the role

In this role, you will drive primary engineering activities related to subsea pumps, including design, calculation, documentation, and interaction with partners. Join our team if you want to contribute to the continuous improvement of  pump systems and advance our high end pumping technology.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• Analyze the state-of-the-art subsea product portfolio (static and dynamic)

• Special pump design and analysis, including the related auxiliary systems

• Support, maintenance and validation of pressure loss analysis of cooling flow networks using FloMaster

• Specification, execution, evaluation and documentation of pump component tests (e.g. bearing, seals)

• Support customer request for operational support

• Develop design concepts in new application areas

• Generates manuals / handbooks to standardize calculation procedures

• Plans and coordinates projects locally and globally for internal and external customers

• Preparation of technical documentation like investigation reports in English

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field - prior apprenticeship as a mechanic is a plus

• 5-7 years of experience in design engineering with knowledge related to pumping systems, subsea applications, or rotating equipment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with Matlab or similar for design and analysis

• Knowledge with CAD software is a plus

• Enjoys managing  projects

• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
