Our client is a global OEM in industrial electrification systems.
For their largest Business Unit, we are seeking a hands-on, a hand's on Manager to lead the R&D and project application activities of our client. This role combines technical leadership, operational management and team development.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities of Head of R&D - Power Traction

• Lead a team of +25 FTE, including 5 managers in direct reports,
• Coordinate and guide local and international R&D teams,
• Oversee project execution, controlling scope, quality, cost and timelines.
• Manage product standardization, technical state-of-the-art, design-to-cost, and design-for-manufacturing, ensuring safety compliance.
• Stimulate feasibility studies and manage R&D budgets effectively.
• Foster collaboration with external R&D partners, laboratories, and certification bodies (ISO, IRIS).

The Successful Applicant

Requirements for the Head of R&D - Power Traction

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in product line management for high voltage/electronics products in an international industrial B2B environment.
• Proven track record in leading R&D teams and delivering product line success.
• Knowledge of medium/high voltage systems, preferably in industrial applications.
• Excellent project management, organizational and communication skills.
