About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Pressure Equipment to join our Process Plants team in the Chemtech division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of equipment specifications and layout drawings according to internal and international applicable standards, customer specifications and contractual agreements

  • Independent processing of process equipment and machine orders with support of purchasing, project management other specialized departments

  • Independent creation of purchasing specifications and purchase requisitions

  • Checking detailed documents created by external suppliers or customers

  • Supporting the project management in the implementation of technical specifications, regulations, quality and deadlines

  • Project coordination and communication with external suppliers.

  • Quality, cost and deadline monitoring and coordination of partial orders in direct cooperation with the suppliers

  • Sales support

  • Participation on continuous improvement tasks

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Technical educational, preferably mechanical engineering or a similar field

  • A minimum of five years of experience in pressure vessels and rotating equipment design for applications in chemistry, pharma or oil and gas industry

  • Your know-how in IT and MS Office applications is on a reasonable level

  • You are a team player, customer oriented but also used to work self-reliant

  • Communication and organizational skills build an excellent basis for this versatile role. Moreover, attention to detail is needed, and you should feel comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams and projects

  • Fluency in English is essential. Good German skills are of advantage
