This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will join our Perception, Planning, and Control Engineers on the Navigation team to develop computer vision and 3D perception algorithms for our current projects and integrations with

customer robots. You will work directly with robots, develop and test new algorithms, and help improve our automated tests and tooling.

This role is contributing to the 3D Perception and Navigation Team at Sevensense in  Zurich, Switzerland.  

You will be mainly responsible for

• Develop new features, tools, and continuous integration tests using C++ and Python.
• Conduct experiments on real robots to validate new feature developments.
• Cooperate closely with the Test and Application Engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Recommend improvements and create tools to ensure consistent validation and evaluation of our code.

Qualifications for the role  

• Finished or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• In-depth experience in perception, while knowledge in planning and control is a plus.
• Experience in software development with C++. Experience with Python is a plus.
• Comfortable in using ROS2, Linux, and git. Experience with sensors such as stereo or RGB-D cameras, 2D lidars is a plus.
• Motivated to work directly with real robots. Cooperative colleague who is keen to work in a small, innovative team.
• You are comfortable communicating in English.
• Non-EU/non-EFTA citizens, please note that a certificate from your university, showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies, is required for the visa application.
