Pictet Alternative Advisors SA (PAA) is a leading European alternative investment specialist with expertise in manager selection and portfolio management in Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt, Infrastructure and Hedge Funds. PAA is an independent unit of the Pictet Group managing over USD 30 billion.
The Group has strong development ambitions for PAA over the coming years. It recently developed a direct Private Equity Real Estate franchise (PERE) and a direct Private Equity franchise (PE) and endeavours to expand its product offering in additional asset classes as well as to further develop its institutional client base.
In this context of strong growth, PAA is looking to hire a Sustainability Manager to further strengthen our Sustainability team and drive our ambitions. The full-time position will be based in Geneva and will report to the Head of Sustainability.
Your role
- Designing and implementing responsible investment frameworks for alternative assets;
- Partnering with investment teams to conduct sustainability due diligence and generating insights to inform investment decisions;
- Leading stewardship activities in collaboration with investment teams across asset classes;
- Developing and maintaining data models and tools to improve analytical, visualisation, and reporting capabilities;
- Leading internal and external sustainability-related disclosures;
- Monitoring market trends and regulatory developments in the alternative assets space;
- Supporting commercial efforts - including sustainability-related client reporting, communications, due diligence requests, and meetings with prospective and existing clients;
- Engaging with key stakeholders within PAA and across the wider Pictet Group to advance the sustainability agenda;
- Designing and delivering training programmes to build skills and capabilities across the organisation.
Your profile
- University degree in engineering or other scientific, economics or finance discipline;
- At least seven years of professional experience in sustainability and/or responsible investment, including at least four years within asset management;
- Proven experience in corporate governance and stewardship, assessing climate risks and applying relevant frameworks (e.g. PCAF, GHG Protocol, CRREM);
- Strong understanding of sustainability standards, regulations and reporting frameworks relevant to asset management (e.g. SFDR, SASB, PRI, TCFD and SBTi);
- Experience in data management and coding (e.g. Python, Power BI) is an advantage;
- Comfortable working autonomously, setting priorities and solving complex problems. You bring intellectual curiosity and a global perspective to responsible investing;
- Excellent analytical and project management skills, with strong attention to detail and a natural ability to engage with diverse stakeholders;
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and spoken; French would be a plus;
- Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
