Server Intelligence's mission is to improve business outcomes by surfacing immediately actionable insights and applying them to business operations in partnership with customers.

Areas of software development include: backend services (Go, Goa, Boq, Spanner); dashboards and pipelines (PLX, Flume, dasnav); AI (Gemini, prompt engineering, AI Testing, Agent architectures, different agents such as Cider Agent, Nexus Agent, Production Agent).

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Responsibilities

Design and develop reliable infrastructural components or improvements for our services.
Identify, evaluate and measure the impact of projects in Server Platform.
Instrument and drive improvements to product health.
Improve code health, accessibility, testability and maintainability.
Participate regularly in an onduty rotation during business hours, including handling releases and code integrations, answering to questions, distributed system debugging, implementing technical mitigations and long term fixes, as well as post-facto blameless postmortem authoring.
