What you'll be doing here

  • Collaborate on an EU Horizon project together with international partners
  • Develop conversion routes for plant biomass
  • Chemically characterize intermediate products of the conversion pathways
  • Optimize a novel bio-based adhesive system based on non-isocyanate polyurethane NIPU chemistry
  • Publish your results in scientific peer-reviewed journals and write a dissertation based at the University of Göttingen

What you'll bring with you

  • Master's degree in wood technology, materials sciences, chemistry, or a related field
  • Experience in wood chemistry and polymer chemistry
  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary research and innovation
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), knowledge of German or French an advantage
