As a Group HR Business Partner, you will serve as an advisor and HR partner to senior leadership across multiple regions. You will play a crucial role in aligning HR activities with business objectives across multiple Corporate functions and regions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR plans that support Glencore’s mission and organisational performance. Your primary focus will be on building positive relationships with business leaders and employees, understanding their needs, and providing HR guidance and support.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Offer timely, high-quality HR advice across all areas of employee relations in accordance with company values, policies, and procedures.
- Provide guidance on a wide range of core HR processes, including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, training, development, rewards, performance management, etc.
- Responsible for employee relations issues, providing support on conflict resolution, team dynamics, and development.
- Develop and maintain close and positive relationships with employees and line managers. Facilitate an ongoing dialogue, invite their input and feedback, conduct surveys, analyse feedback from various sources, and implement actions that can enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with the Centres of Expertise (i.e. rewards, HR Tech, L&D, Talent Acquisition) to develop policies, programs, and HR solutions.
- Track, analyse, and synthesize people-related data and make recommendations to improve business performance.
- Design and implement HR transformation projects and wide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support global HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
Our ideal candidate:
- 8 - 10 years’ experience in HR Business Partner roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related fields.
- Experience supporting an employee population across multiple functions and locations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to effectively influence, build relationships, and partner with leaders across diverse cultures and functions.
- Comprehensive understanding of global HR practices, employment law, discipline procedures and regulations.
- Advanced English communication skills. Proficiency in other languages, including German or Spanish, is viewed favourably.
- Good know-how in using IT applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Holder of a Swiss work permit or CH / EU passport holder.
